In looking at the 1930 Census for Yoakum County, Justice Precinct is 3.   I find my Uncle age 24 employed as a clerk in a grocery store.  Can you tell me where that would have been located.  I remember my grandparents talking about Bronco, but I am not sure if that is where he was located on this census poll. 

 
My uncle was H. A. Echols and he married a girl named Anita whose family lived in the area.  She was 18 in 1930 and the census states she was 17 when they married.  
 
I remember the family talking about this area and saying that Anita's folks owned a large ranch there.  But I cannot remember her maiden name.  The census said she was born in New Mexico.  From what I can remember her family had lived in the area for a long time. 
 
My grandparents homesteaded for a time near House NM.  This would have been about 1903-04.  They went west from Somervell County Texas with Granddad's brother and wife.  The two ladies were very glad to return to home and family.  That was a big adventure for two young couples from Glen Rose.  Regards, Joan.

Milledge TAYLOR family in Yoakum County, TX before/by 1910:   I am seeking information on this  family.     Per the census records of 1910 thru 1930, there is Milledge (b. 1853 - d. bef 1930), wife Martha E. Taylor (b. 1869), son James Absalom Taylor (b. 1887), son Alvin Arthur Taylor (b. abt 1894 d. 1966), dtr Carrie E. Taylor (b. 1899) - seems to appear as Stella on the 1920 census - dtr Gertrude Taylor (b. abt 1902), son Robert Marvin Taylor (b. 1903 d. 1964) - m. Ruby HINKLE - both buried Plains Cemetery, Yoakum County TX; son Charlie Taylor (b. abt 1906), dtr Bertha Taylor (b. abt 1908) and son Benjamin F. Taylor (b. 1913 d. 1975) - m. Fleta___ bur. Denver City Memorial Park, Yoakum County TX.     

Need confirmation/denouncement that this Milledge TAYLOR is the son of  Milledge Taylor 
(b. 1812-d. 1853) and Hester Ann Cravens Taylor (b. abt 1820 c. 187?), of Strawberry Lawrence Co., AR.   IF he was their youngest child, Milledge's wanderings took him from Strawberry to Slidell, Wise Co., TX (1880 census), to Denton, TX, to Foard Co, TX (1900 census) and finally to Yoakum County, TX (1910 census) where his family seems to have stayed.

Baby Miguel Huerta who died on or about February 1970, is supposed to have been buried at the Plains Cemetery but our family has been unable to locate his gravesite.   Does anyone know where that might be?   Thank you for any assistance you can offer.

I am looking for information on my Great Uncle, Arlie Gray JORDAN.   He was living in Denver City at the time of his death in 1975.   His wife was Nellie Crawford JORDAN, sister of my grandmother, Birdie Crawford Barrow.   Arlie Gray Jordan came to Denver City from Brady, Texas.   What was his occupation?  What brought him to Denver City from Brady?   I'd also like to find out more on Nellie, his wife, who also died in Denver City (in 1977).   Any information would be appreciated.   Thanks.   Joyce Roth.

John C. Pruitt died in Denver City, Yoakum Co., TX., on May 12, 1986.    He is my Great Uncle and I am looking for more information about him.   Did he marry?  Where was he buried?   He was born in Henderson Co., TX., in 1897.  Obituaries of his relatives indicated he lived in Denver City for over 10 years beginning in the early 1970's.    Thanks for any information you can provide.

Gertrude R. BOULTER is buried in Denver City Memorial Park.   I am seeking information on her and how she is related to James Young BOULTER, my great uncle.   She was born 7 Oct 1902 and died 15 Feb 1969.    My grandmother was Lena Frances Boulter ALLEN, his older sister.    Also, is John H. BOULTER who is also buried in Denver City Memorial Park, the older brother of James BOULTER?    Any information on the Boulter family would be appreciated.  I will gladly share information.   Sam Allen Thomson

Crawford and lived in Plains, Texas.   He died May 4, 1974 (I think).  I need his date of birth and father's and mother's name.  My Grandmother is Juanita Crawford (d. November 1992 or 1993).  She also lived in Plains, Texas.  Her maiden name was Spivey.   I need her date of birth and her father's and mother's name.  Any help you can give me would help a lot.   Thank you.
